If I "Exit from Malwarebytes" it works again net detection. It happens with 2 Ricoh printers I have and other PCs at Local Network. It happens since about 2-8 days, can't assure. Furthermore, Windows (explorer) does NOT detect any Network devices such as other computers in my local network. I do not know if it was malwarebytes or a windows update. If I go into the printer port properties, and turn off SNMP, the the printer shows and remains online. Printer is noted as off line and I need to exit malwarebytes to get it to print. However, if I wait 5 minutes, same thing happens. I turned all back on right away and can print. Printer did not go back online until exploit (so all 4 was off). I just tried to narrow it down and I turned off in this order web protection, malware, ransomware, exploit. As always, its latest version was issued by the official HP website.

We always keep updating our driver database all the time. When I print, printer is shown as offline. On this page, you’ll get HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 all-in-one driver pack. Malwarebytes is blocking my network printer that is configured on a TCP/IP port. Hopefully it won't be several weeks as stated above. I do not have SNMP enabled on the printer. I was able to work around the issue by disabling Web Protection. This is where it all started for me as well, basically I had to uninstall the device and then reinstall the printer software and it fixed the issue. I have two Windand one 2004 all connected to an HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus that are experiencing this same issue.

I should not have to contort myself to do it and frankly as others have said here I too have better things to do with my timeĬome the F on - why should I have to deal with this - WHEN WILL YOU RELEASE THE UPDATE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE OR OFFER REFUNDS?-! The beta version update seems like based on these forums it may or may not solve all the problems and to sign up for that I have to agree that it may Screw up my computer anyway so -no I want this actually fixed.Ĭommunicating with the printer from my pc is a basic function. I cant seem to disable the SNMP on the printer port for whatever reason
The workaround of disabling the web protection does work and Ihave been doing that printing and immediately putting it back on. Its been working fine- but now since the last released update I cant scan to the computer or print. I generally have like Malwarebytes- it seems less invasive than other firewall programs.
